The eight-yard skip, generally recommended for building work, is the largest in which heavier materials can be placed. Beyond this size, skips are useful only for bulky light waste, such as household clearances.

Skip size is therefore mainly dependent on the type of material to be disposed of, although you should be careful to ensure you do not overfill the skip you choose, as the company may then be unable to remove it for legal reasons.

Golf is often considered a gentlemen’s pursuit, and for good reason. There are specific etiquette guidelines that exist in golf. These guidelines are not just implied, but are in fact published and distributed to golfers in the Official Rules of Golf provided by the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews and the United States Golf Association.

The etiquette guidelines for golf are universal from course to course and in reality amount to little more than an expectation that individuals bring their manners with them to the course. According to the R&A, golf etiquette breaks down into three categories that include care of the course, keeping pace, and consideration for others. The following are considered to be the basic etiquette guidelines for golf:

Care of the Course:
- Bunkers: Golfers should enter from the backside of a bunker, never down slopes. All ball landing divots, swing divots, and footprints should be raked clean upon completion.
- All divots on the tee box, in the fairway, or on the green should be replaced or repaired
- Watch for local notices on where golf carts can and cannot go on each course

Keeping Pace:
- Maintain a reasonable pace for yourself or your group
- Be ready to play when it is your turn
- Allow faster moving groups behind to play through if they are consistently waiting on you or your group
- Don’t waste excessive amounts of time searching for lost balls

Consideration for Others
- Avoid disturbances and distractions by remaining still and silent during another players swing
- Silence all mobile devices while on the course
- Avoid standing in, crossing over, or casting a shadow over another golfers putting line
- Keep safety in mind. Do not stand too close to others while they swing and make sure others are at a safe distance before swinging your club

The etiquette rules that have been established in golf have been put in place to ensure the game is safe and enjoyable for all those participating. A good rule of thumb is to consider each outing on the course as an invitation to a party. Treat each course as you would like visitors to treat your home and show respect to all those on the course, regardless of the manner in which they are treating you.
